# Automation SNMP Options

This section will describe **SNMP Options** in Cacti.

The SNMP Options page holds the SNMP strings and credentials that automation
uses when it scans a network. Cacti supports SNMP v1, v2c and v3, so enter the
details that match the devices you intend to poll.

Important: When performing a network scan ensure that you select the SNMP
options that contain the SNMP strings you want to use
