Extensions hand-roll their own server selects, domain inputs and copy
boxes because core never exported its versions. Exporting them keeps
an extension page looking and validating exactly like a core page.
WalkthroughContext now merges built-in walkthroughs with extension
contributions and server-persisted custom guides through a shared
registry, so enabling or disabling an extension adds or removes its
guides at runtime. Adds the walkthrough contribution type to the plugin
SDK (with TypeScript types and vendor shim), Studio API methods, and
i18n strings.
Same relocation pattern as email/cloudflare-ops: pages/Git.jsx (1920 lines),
its SCSS partial (with the %sk-state placeholder inlined - @extend cannot
cross compile units) and a new Gitea-only API client move into
builtin-extensions/serverkit-git/frontend/. The page's two halves now show
their seam: Gitea self-host calls go through the extension's own client;
webhook + deployment calls stay on the core api object (they ARE the deploy
pipeline and exist on every panel).
Core files.js sheds the Gitea-half methods but keeps the three fail-soft
getGitea* aliases the app-creation repo pickers probe (they 404 and degrade
to 'not installed' when the extension is absent). serverkit-sdk adds the
ds/status helpers (statusKind & co). pages/ ratchets tighten: raw api calls
431->405, toast extractions 264->218.

Same WP-Phase-4 pattern as the email relocation: the CloudflareZoneSettings
page, the WAF/Workers/Tunnels/Storage panels, the /cloudflare API client and
the SCSS partial move into builtin-extensions/serverkit-cloudflare-ops/
frontend/; the extension index.jsx imports locally and side-effect-imports
the SCSS. Core drops the cloudflareMethods spread from the api object and
the main.scss partial - DNS records and the Cloudflare connection stay core.
serverkit-sdk (still the unreleased 1.4.0 bump) adds Tabs kit, PageLoader
and copyToClipboard; vendor shim regenerated. The pages/ raw-api ratchet
tightens 460 -> 431 (the two relocated pages left pages/).
Frontend build green, lint fully green.

WP-Phase-4 pattern, in-tree Tier C: pages/Email.jsx, its SCSS partial and a
new self-contained /email API client move into
builtin-extensions/serverkit-email/frontend/; the extension index.jsx now
imports locally (no more core re-export shim) and side-effect-imports the
SCSS so it compiles through the extension's module graph. main.scss drops
the _email partial.
Core keeps only the email-adjacent surfaces core Settings renders: the
DNS-provider methods (core dns_providers blueprint) and the relay tile
methods. serverkit-sdk grows the generic list-page chrome the relocation
needed (DataTableFooter/ListToolbar/SearchField/SortChipBar, ds/grid saved-
view chrome, PageLayout, useTableSort, useColumnVisibility) - SDK 1.4.0,
backend mirror bumped in lock-step; vendor shim regenerated.
Frontend build green, lint 0 errors, i18n check no orphans.

SDK 1.2.0 -> 1.3.0 (additive).
Auditing the extension surface for plan 79 found the localization gap I
expected and two pre-existing bugs I did not.
The gap: extensions had no way to translate anything. The SDK now re-exports
the HOST's translation surface -- useTranslation, Trans, t, useLocale,
useLabel, useFormat and the intl door -- and i18next/react-i18next join the
shared vendor singletons. That sharing is the load-bearing part: an extension
bundling its own i18next would get a separate, uninitialised instance, so
every t() in it would render its English default forever and nothing would
report it. Exactly the "two React copies" hazard vendorShare already documents,
and exactly the failure mode this plan hit twice in core. They also join
dedupe/optimizeDeps for the same reason React is there.
The bugs, both caused by the same duplication:
- The import map listed `react` and `react-router-dom`, but no shim existed
for either. A runtime extension importing bare `react` 404'd at load.
- The serverkit-sdk shim re-exported 26 of the SDK's 71 exports. An extension
importing Button, Modal, EmptyState, formatBytes or timeAgo from the SDK got
`undefined`. The shim's own comment claimed parity was "asserted by the
frontend build + backend test_sdk_contract"; nothing asserted it.
Three files independently restated the same module list -- the import map, the
namespace capture, and one hand-written shim per module -- so they drifted.
Now vendorManifest.js is the list, generate-vendor-shims.mjs derives every
shim's exports (from the real package's namespace, or from the SDK entry's own
export statements -- never typed by hand), the import map is built from the
same manifest, and `--check` fails the build on drift. 26 -> 85 exports on the
SDK shim, 6 -> 8 shims, all present.
Manifest contributions gain an optional `labelKey` beside `label` for nav, tabs
and command-palette entries, resolved at render by the same translateLabel core
uses -- data cannot call t(), and a label resolved at import would translate
once and never follow a switch. Omitting it renders `label` verbatim, which is
what every existing extension does, so nothing breaks.

The install-time tint only recolored favicon.svg, but the page also shipped a
fixed raster favicon.ico + .png — and favicon-hash scanners hash /favicon.ico,
which was identical across every install. So the "car-paint" tint didn't change
what those tools cluster on.
- index.html links only the SVG now (drop the raster <link>s).
- Remove the unused favicon-16x16/32x32.png.
- install.sh: after tinting favicon.svg, copy it over favicon.ico too, so a
blind /favicon.ico fetch also returns the per-install color instead of a fixed
icon. (SVG bytes under an .ico name — browsers use the linked SVG; this only
affects what a scanner hashes at that URL.)
Still obscurity/defense-in-depth, not a real gate — but now it does what it says.

Reduce how identifiable a panel is from its unauthenticated surface, without
losing the brand once you're inside.
- Public vs interior title: new `public_title` setting (default "Control
Panel") drives the sign-in/register/setup headings and the browser tab
before login (and the static first-paint <title>); `panel_title`
(ServerKit) still names the tab once signed in. PageTitleUpdater picks by
route. Both are exposed pre-auth on /auth/setup-status and editable in the
admin Site Settings → Panel Appearance card.
- Per-install favicon tint (install.sh randomize_favicon): the favicon is a
plain-text SVG, so each install recolors the tile to one of a curated set of
legible colors via a string replace — same mark, different color, so a
favicon-hash comparison across installs differs. No image tooling required;
if the step can't run, the shipped default color stays. Runs on both fresh
and release installs; existing installs are untouched.
Defense-in-depth / obscurity only — real protection is access control + auth.
Verified: eslint 0 errors, backend py_compile ok, install.sh `bash -n` ok,
favicon sed recolor confirmed.

Restore the ServerKit name, favicon, manifest, auth-page headings, and
service-worker strings. Genericizing the panel's identity was the wrong
trade: hiding the title/favicon is security-by-obscurity that a real scanner
sees through, and it erased the product identity for almost no benefit. The
pages it touched (login/setup/register) require server or admin access to
reach anyway, so there is nothing to hide there.
The one durable, no-cost measure is kept: the `X-Robots-Tag: noindex`
header (from the prior commit) stays on both nginx server blocks so the
panel isn't indexed by search engines. Real protection lives in access
control + auth, not in the favicon.

Reduce how easily the panel can be enumerated by scanners (Shodan/Censys)
and search engines:
- nginx: emit `X-Robots-Tag: noindex, nofollow, noarchive` on the panel
server blocks (both the TLS and insecure fallback configs).
- Generic page identity: title "Control Panel" + neutral meta description
in index.html; the runtime document.title setters (App.jsx, usePageTitle)
and PWA manifest name/short_name match — so the browser tab and manifest
no longer say "ServerKit".
- Drop the distinctive favicon (.ico/.png removed, generic favicon.svg) so a
favicon-hash no longer clusters instances; strip the product name from the
service worker (cache name, push title, header comment).
- Neutralize the visible auth/splash copy (Login/Register/Setup headings,
AppLoader label) to a generic name.
Search engines are the easy case; the header is defense-in-depth. Real
hiding still requires access control (IP allowlist / VPN / zero-trust) and
is deployment-specific.

Replace spinners with skeleton placeholders across page/section loaders
(EmptyState, DataTable, and ~page surfaces), add a reusable Skeleton
component + _skeleton.scss, rework AppLoader into a branded "server
powering on" loader, and refresh the favicon set (incl. SVG icon link).

Phase 0 of the ServerKit UI redesign (see docs/REDESIGN_MAP.md):
- Remap design tokens to the new infra-console palette behind existing names; add prototype token names (surface ramp, cyan/violet, accent-bright/-bg). Dark/light/system.
- Self-host IBM Plex (woff2 vendored via scripts/fetch-fonts.mjs); no Google Fonts CDN.
- Runtime-derive the full accent ramp in ThemeContext.
- Add shared design-system primitives in components/ds (Pill, EnvTag, SegControl, MetricCard, Gauge, ServiceTile, Sparkline, AreaChart, ScoreGauge, Feed, Drawer).
- Restyle the sidebar (gradient rail, mono section headers, left accent bar) and switch the brand to the demo's gradient-tile logo.

Phase 37: Progressive Web App manifest, service worker for offline caching,
push notification registration, quick actions API, mobile summary endpoint,
and offline data caching for server status.

Introduces backend logic to determine server resource tier and block WordPress site creation on insufficient resources (lite tier). Adds ResourceTierContext and ResourceGate component to the frontend, displaying a UI warning and disabling creation actions when requirements are not met. Updates WordPress page and styles to integrate the new resource gating mechanism.
Introduces a Site Settings tab in the Settings page for admins to toggle user registration. Adds dynamic page title updates based on route, updates the favicon and meta tags, and conditionally shows the registration link on the login page based on the registration setting. Also adds a reusable usePageTitle hook.
