With Cilium at 1.20.2 the tenant gateway comments, README and one status message still explained behaviour as that of "the pin" at 1.19.5. Several of those claims no longer hold: a Gateway with two routed passthrough ports now gets an Envoy listener per port, Cilium judges a route's kinds against the listener the route names, and the shipped operator accepts an HTTPS and a passthrough listener on one port when the passthrough hostname is strictly narrower. Behaviour that is unchanged is re-anchored on the 1.20.2 source, behaviour that is gone is stated as history, and the refusal of one hostname on two passthrough ports no longer blames a Cilium limitation the shipped release does not have.
