The upload source unconditionally set the cdi.kubevirt.io/storage.bind.immediate.requested annotation, which bypasses WaitForFirstConsumer and may provision the DataVolume on a node that does not satisfy the VM's node affinity constraints. With the dependencyMappings feature ensuring VMInstance HelmRelease depends on VMDisk HelmRelease, WFFC binding is triggered by the VM pod itself — the annotation is no longer needed.
